From our base in Eindhoven, Mill & Mist Films produces video for organisations and makers who want to share what they know. Course creators who want to capture their expertise. Foundations with a learning mission. Platforms growing their audience through video.

We have worked for Rami Ismail (game business courses), Food Hub (food education), De Groene Makers (vegetable garden and kitchen content), Erasmus University Rotterdam and others. We handle production from start to finish: location, lighting, camera, sound, editing and motion graphics. So you can focus on what you do best. Together we find the right tone, both on screen and in how we work together.

Mill & Mist is the name I, Gilles van Leeuwen, work under. I'm a director, cinematographer and producer. Clients work with us because it's a pleasant way to work. Because we listen, ask questions, think along sharply and, above all, deliver what we promise. On time. With care. With quality.

Alongside educational productions, we also work for cultural institutions and tech companies. Clients include IFFR, AHK, the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, the European Cultural Foundation and H.A. Hoeflake Electrotechniek. Always with the same approach: putting the content first.

Mill & Mist Films isn't a big agency, but it feels like one. Behind every production is a team that knows exactly what it's doing. People like camera operator Jelle Klokman and editors Jochem de Vet and Giorgio de Bruijn. Skilled professionals I love working with.

In practice, Mill & Mist Films is a small studio, but I do almost every project with a team. Which professionals join depends on the project. For an educational series, that might be a second camera operator and an editor. For a larger documentary, we expand with a producer, sound designer and motion designer. They are always the same faces from a regular network, not freelancers hired job by job. That keeps the quality high and the overheads low.

Alongside Mill & Mist Films, I make personal and artistic work under my own name: short films, narrative and cinematic projects. That lives in a separate place, for the work that isn't commissioned.
