What we make

Three kinds of production, one approach: the content always comes first. From our studio in Eindhoven, we work for course creators, cultural institutions and technical companies across the Netherlands, and sometimes further afield.

01 · Education

Educational series & masterclasses

For course creators, trainers and organisations with a mission to share knowledge.

Educational video asks for something different from a glossy corporate film. In education, learning value comes first: structure, clarity and a tone that doesn't wear the viewer out. We love working with course creators, trainers and knowledge organisations who already have the expertise in house. We bring the production. In practice, that means thinking about sequence, framing, rhythm and which shots support the explanation rather than distract from it. We have experience with short explainer videos, longer masterclasses and ongoing series that run for years. One of our series for De Groene Makers is now approaching a hundred episodes. That kind of scale is only sustainable if the production approach is right from episode one: a format, set, lighting, sound and style that can be repeated without ever feeling artificial.

What we make

  • Course series with one or more presenters
  • Masterclasses that go deeper into each topic
  • Short explainer videos (1 to 5 minutes)
  • Recruitment videos for research studies or programmes

Examples: Food Hub, De Groene Makers, Rami Ismail, Erasmus University Rotterdam

02 · Culture

Short documentaries & portraits

For festivals, funds and cultural institutions.

For festivals, funds and cultural institutions, we make short documentaries, portraits and festival films. We look for the story behind the people, places and projects in the cultural sector. Not the surface, but what lies beneath it. Budgets are often tighter than in commercial video production, and that calls for a different mindset: making choices, adapting quickly and making the most of what's there. We have years of experience with event aftermovies (for IFFR, among others), artist portraits, annual reviews and short documentaries around programmes and awards. Sometimes that's a single five-minute film, sometimes a series of portraits spanning several years. We know how to get the best out of an interview, how filming around an event works logistically, and how to make a short film that fits the institution's tone.

What we make

  • Festival films and annual reviews
  • Event aftermovies (for IFFR, among others)
  • Portraits of makers, artists and participants
  • Short documentaries about events or programmes
  • Promotional films for cultural projects

Examples: IFFR, Brabant Bokaal, How a Library Changed My Life, Europe Challenge

03 · Corporate

Corporate films & product videos

For technical companies and organisations that want to tell their story clearly on screen.

A corporate film or product video works best when the filmmaker genuinely tries to understand the technology. We make films that show what a company does or how a product works, so that a non-specialist can follow along without it becoming simplistic. Skilled work and craftsmanship, clearly explained. For technical companies, that means spending time on the shop floor, asking engineers the right questions and choosing the shots that carry the story. For product videos, it comes down to framing, lighting setup and editing that bring out what sets the product apart. We have filmed in building services engineering, in product development for lighting design and in industrial manufacturing. The result: corporate films and product videos ready for your website, for social media in both 9:16 and 16:9, and for sales conversations.

What we make

  • Corporate films (who we are, what we do)
  • Product videos that make complex technology easy to understand
  • Banner and hero videos for websites
  • Recruitment films and internal communications

Examples: Hoeflake Infra, BlastGate SHUTR, VANTOT Sunseeker, IKEA

04 · Bespoke

Something else in mind?

Many projects don't fit neatly into one category. That's not a problem.

A large share of our work starts with a question that doesn't fit neatly into a box. A series that's part educational, part portrait. A product video with documentary elements. A hybrid of training material and internal communications. For us, bespoke work is the rule rather than the exception. What helps is thinking about the form together early on, rather than about deliverables. We often end up with something tighter, cheaper and more effective than the original brief proposed. That's why the first conversation is always without obligation.

We're happy to help you find the right form for your project, even if you don't yet know exactly what you want. A short introductory call is often the quickest way to get clarity together.

How we work

How we work varies from project to project and from client to client. Some clients have the content fully in hand and mainly want us to handle the filming. Others leave more to us, from choosing locations and set dressing to script and direction. We shape the scope around what takes the load off you and what the project needs. The team is put together to suit the project: for a short explainer video we often work as a pair, while for a larger series or documentary we scale up with our regular partners. The six steps below are the common thread.

  1. 1

    Introduction

A no-obligation chat about what you want to achieve, with whom and on what timescale. Usually by phone or a short video call.

  2. 2

    Concept and quote

We set out our approach in a short proposal. Clear on scope, schedule and costs. No surprises later on.

  3. 3

    Pre-production

Locations, scheduling, casting where needed, and scripts or interview questions. The more we agree in advance, the smoother the shoot day goes.

  4. 4

    Filming

Usually one or a few shoot days. A small, compact crew. Camera, sound, lighting and direction handled by one person or by a closely knit team.

  5. 5

    Editing and motion graphics

The content takes shape. You'll see a first cut before we finalise anything. Motion graphics wherever they help the explanation.

  6. 6

    Revisions and delivery

Two rounds of revisions are included in our price as standard. Delivery in every format you need (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) and in the codecs and resolutions your platform requires.
