Erasmus University Rotterdam
Erasmus University Rotterdam carries out research that matters to society, but research only has an impact when it reaches people. For two SYNC Lab projects we made videos that open up scientific knowledge to young people and the wider public.
GUTS: brains, behaviour and growing up in society
GUTS is a long-term brain study of young people aged 10 to 24, run jointly by seven Dutch universities. To recruit participants in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, we produced eye-catching recruitment videos. We also made seven explainer videos that tell young people exactly what taking part in the study involves. All the videos can be found at meedoenaanguts.nl.
YoungXperts: young people on the climate crisis
YoungXperts is an Erasmus SYNC Lab platform that involves young people in scientific research. For their climate manifesto, presented to Minister Rob Jetten in June 2024, we produced six short videos that bring young people's perspective on the climate crisis to the screen. The videos are built into the interactive manifesto on the EUR website.
What we made
On both projects we were responsible for camera work, lighting, sound recording, direction and editing.
The result
The recruitment and explainer videos live on meedoenaanguts.nl, where young people sign up for the study. The six climate videos are part of the manifesto presented to Minister Rob Jetten in June 2024.
