BlastGate: SHUTR
BlastGate makes SHUTR: wireless electric blast gates that automate dust extraction in workshops. The gates only open when a machine is running, which means less dust for the people working there and a big saving on energy. A smart Dutch tech product, sold to woodworking businesses and professional workshops around the world.
What we made
For BlastGate we produced a snappy product video that shows how SHUTR works, combining studio footage of the product with shots on location in a real workshop. The video takes centre stage on their website and is the main explainer for new visitors. We also made the banner video the site opens with.
The result is a video that makes a technical product clear in a matter of seconds, without the viewer having to read a manual first.
We handled location scouting, camera work, lighting, sound recording, direction and editing.
The result
The product video is the first explanation new visitors see on blastgate.com, and the banner video opens the site. For a product you need to see in action to understand, the video now does the explaining.
